Cloud PBX for Companies in Egypt

A hosted IP PBX with no hardware: an extension per employee, transfer and hold, IVR, voicemail and conferences, managed from the browser with your own lines.

  • Extensions on desk phones, browser or mobile
  • Transfer, hold, voicemail and conferences
  • IVR menus, working hours and holidays
  • Connect your own lines over SIP trunk
  • No hardware and no maintenance contracts

If you are looking for a business phone system, you probably have two options: an IP PBX box installed in the office, or a cloud PBX that runs online. This page explains the difference in practical terms and what you get with Klamna's hosted PBX.

On-premise PBXs still have their place, especially in organisations with an IT team and a large internal network. But for most small and mid-sized companies, cloud is faster to start and easier to run.

PBX features in Klamna

  • An extension per employee on a SIP desk phone, a browser phone, the mobile app or the desktop app (Windows and Mac).
  • Call transfer: blind, or attended after speaking to the colleague first.
  • Hold with music on hold.
  • IVR menus, working hours and holidays.
  • Voicemail per extension.
  • Conference rooms and paging/intercom.
  • Do-not-disturb, call forwarding and calling permissions per extension.
  • Call recording, with recording backup to your own storage.

Lines and numbers

A cloud PBX needs lines to receive and place calls. You have two options: connect your existing lines from your telecom provider over a SIP trunk, or ask our sales team about the numbers available for your company. Once the lines are connected, you route each number to the IVR menu, queue or extension you want.

When the PBX becomes a call center

Over time many companies need more than call transfer: queues, monitoring and reports. In Klamna that is not another system, it is the same one. Read about the cloud call center or see the call center features in detail. Your team can also talk internally through team chat instead of personal WhatsApp groups.

How to move from your old PBX

  1. List your current extensions and who owns each one.
  2. Sign up for Klamna and add users and extensions.
  3. Set up the IVR menu and working hours.
  4. Connect lines over a SIP trunk from your provider, or agree numbers with our sales team.
  5. Run both side by side for a short period, then move all calls to the cloud.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a cloud PBX and an IP PBX?

A traditional IP PBX is a box or server installed in your office that needs maintenance. A cloud PBX gives the same functions (extensions, transfer, IVR) but runs online, and you manage it from the browser.

Can I use my existing lines?

Yes. Connect your lines from your telecom provider over a SIP trunk, or ask our sales team about the numbers available for your company.

Can I keep my desk phones?

Yes. Desk phones that support SIP work as extensions, alongside a browser phone, a mobile app and a desktop app.
